i live in batesville. the deer and turkey hunting around here is getting better every year. there is some public land around oxford that offers great turkey hunting. i am not sure about the deer in those areas but am sure it has plenty deer just not alot of trophy deer. there is one place that is approx 45 min to a hour drive from ox that has great deer hunting. it is okeefe there are always trophy deer taken from those woods each year. they have a min size to shoot but your chances are good for a nice buck there. there is usually several hunting camps looking for new members so keep your ears open and check local papers. good luck and welcome to rebel country.
