I think I have heard a quote from Uncle Ted about being 20 feet closer to god, I wish I could remember it. I am with you all I feel the same way and am thankful for the chance to hunt whenever I can.
The one time I hearing him say that was a reference to Fred Bear.
I thoroughly agree. Tis no place I'd rather be, than hunting.
EDIT: I did a google search and everything I saw was attributed to Fred Bear. The Full quote goes like this:
"When a hunter is in a tree stand with high moral values and with the proper hunting ethics and richer for the experience, that hunter is 20 feet closer to God."
