Good idea. You are certainly right. When I bought my first reloader I had a new 30-06 BDL. I shot countless rounds through it. Every bullet I could think of, I tried. As time went by it would change what it liked because of throat erosion and bore wear. I finally shot it out and rebareled it to 280 and started all over again.
