Default RE: 2006 Canadian Whitetails - Get' em!

Whacked up my partners mulie doe and another guys whitetailhe arrowed yesterday. Wow them deer aren't fat yet but the meat looked & smelled awesome....ummmmm deer meat!!![8D]

AG, like I saidI am not sure of all the particulars, so check your regs or with the dnr to find out all the ins and outs of this process, species, etc. I am sure you'd find a few takers on a swap!

Hia...you suck!! LOL good luck bud I hope you get your pig this weekend. I hear your area got 2" of rain saturday, here at the house we picked up 1" 3 10ths...I thought that was a lot!!! Got some wet snow this am, never stayed but boy is she cool -7 temp tonight they say with a high of +2 tomorrow. All week - nights and hardly a double digit day high in sight. Could be a great weekend for the feed bag. I hope to get some of your karma and find me mulie buck to send packin' with the fify cal.

Saskabush, nice to see yeah again..good luck!! As far as elk....road hunted hard, spooked at site of you? I'd say find the trail and get back off the field edge, if at all possible. If you still have some leaves look for the trails that are bare...thats your elk moving. If not hopefully you have some moisture to point to where they enter the oat field or where they stage. Not sure when 1st(peak) rut is but if its been a few weeks, you may attempt cow calling, spike squeals or immature chuckles. If it is apparent no cow will even be close to the 2nd estrus then I'd just stick to your cow/calf/herd talk and hope it lures out something by way of safety in a familar voice. It's kind of a crap shoot what to do when calling, Ibelieve low keyed cow calling never really hurts anything.

JD, good stuff. Maybe when he hit the fence post he busted up...lol!! Heard a rumor of a 20lb honker brought in the SWF from the tisdale area last week...that is greater and then some,if true. Bloody geese have been doing fly byes of the house every night darn near for the past 3 weeks..mostly snows and specs. Boys down the street have been pouding birds, 62 geese this morning butmostly snows. I used to be into goose hunting, really should devote some time to the feathersbut snows nah...give me mallards, canadas and specs though.

Keep on keeping on fellas...good luck
