Default RE: apples and fruit trees

FH and Dan O.,

there aren't any hard little green ones growing wild here, but there is a variety of crabapple that is green, but good ones grow to be nearly half the size of a regular apple. pretty big for crabapples. i don't know what they are but the deer devour them as they hit the ground. im going to attempt to find some saplings and transplant them. most of this variety grow about a mile from my hunting spot and across the had top road. they have formed their own natural little orchard. a ton of deer hang out in them. any idea of what they might be? i might be able to get a picture of an apple this weekend if the deer didnt eat them all already
