You got your job cut out for you buddy if itrains for a long time , I hope you or your dad marked the spot where it was shot.
When you start off tomarow look for any kind of tracks or hair , anything that would tell you where the deer was hit.
Depending on the area you should look at the tall grass , see if it leans to one side or if there is a trail into it.
In thick brush try to look for broken branches and bent limbs , if you know theres a water source near by check it out even known bedding areas.
There gonna hide where they feel safe so really look in the thick stuff even if you have to get on your hands and knees to go under it , if you see tracks or any sign that the deer went in that direction then follow it.
