what i do when i am not in a hurry (due to mounting other animals) is dig a hole and stick it in the ground! believe me mother nature has a way of letting the little grubbers find it. also if you have noticed any ant piles that would be a good place to bury it. it should take about a month. plus the smell goes into the earth.
