ive had it happen actually alot when i wasnt old enough to hunt. there was a cornfield across from my house and wed see deer there and since no one hunted it my friend and i thought it be cool to see how close we could get. never got to tough any of them but within 5yrds of at least 10 2 were nice bucks.

one time i dropped my wife off at a stand and was walking out and a doe was running at me we both stopped and she was only about 3-4 feet away i could have touched her but i was actually a little scared it almost ran me over. she crouched the front of her body down flat on the ground as slow as possible and then her rear, tucked tight to the ground thought i couldnt see her i guess it was really funny and she just stayed there while i walked past then got up and ran.
