For scoring in Pope and Young or Boone and Crockett, the point must be an inch in length from the baseline created by drawing a line on a plane from one side of the point to the other along the beam or point from which it originates, and must be at least as long as the width of that line. Wish I knew how to draw you a picture, kind of hard to describe in words.
