hello,
i inherited a stock for a winchester model 70 featherlite short action in 22-250 from my father. it was custom built by one of his close freinds and i would like to find a barrel and action to use in it, seeing as i do not have the rifle i was built for. so my question is would barrel and action from a winchester model 70 in 243 ssm fit in the stock. i ask this because i am faced with the opportunity to purchase one of these. i thought that it might because the super short magnum cartridge could be a short action rifle as well, but not a featherlite. is there a difference,
any information would be greatly appreciated,
