Default RE: grizzly caliber

Guys there is no "perfect" bullet. Expanding Bullets are supposed to ,how should I say this, deliver energy and penetrate. The partition has served me very well. If you want straight penetration then you need to use a solid such as a Barnes solid. I've heard very good things about the tsx's but have never seen the need to vary from the old tried and true Partition.

As a side note, I spoke with a PH from Zimbabwe when he was visiting my father and he recomends the Swift A-frame for an expandable. He claims that they penetrate better than the partition. He also spoke of the Trophy bonded bear claw. Now he says that african animals are tougher than the average NA game and prefers more penetration and less expansion. For dangerous game he said he likes his client to load a expandable and a solid. The first shot is with the solid and the follow up with a bullet that displaces more energy. Though he said the partition is a reliable bullet he prefered the others. Just another very educated opinion (the PH's not mine).
