I have kids getting old enough to start thinking about a deer firle for them that does not kick and figured this may be the ticket for them to use. The 7.62x39 in a long barreled rifle should get the job done with short range whitetails and yet keep the recoil down.
Forget about possibly screwing up your rifle and just use Remingtons or Federals low recoil 30-06 loads with bullets actually designed for killing deer at these lower velocities.
