Default 2 Vanes, 1 Feather?

Marc (aka Cujo, aka Pigdog, aka longhair hippie Canuck bowyer, aka...nevermind, can't post that one--lol) told me about something the other day, and I was wondering if any of you have tried it. They get a good bit of rain, and for rainy days he has some arrows that have one feather and two vanes. The feather is where the arrow passes the riser. Sounds like it would work good, but I haven't had a chance to try it. How about you?
