Anda 7mm shooting the 140grtsx will easilymatch the 175gr as far as penetration is concerned.Bullet construction is more important than theunfiredbullet weight where penetration is concerned.
I wantall of mybullets to go through an animial as straight as possible!!! Short bullets rarely go as straight as a long bullet once it hits an animial. Of course on smaller animials like a deer it may not be aparent or even be detectable.

I've read where several users of the TSX claim "that" bullet doesn't go straight! One dangerous game hunter has quit useing them and also complained of the pedals shearing off... Looks like Barnes has even more work to do on the TSX!

I've used hundreds of NP's and seen many more used by others, soi'm notswitching from the "tried and true" any time soon...
