Default RE: 260 remington ackley improved?

hey quilly,

i so far have only tried 2 factory loads. the 140gr remington corlokts and the 140gr federal gamekings. they both shoot 1/2 inch at 100m if i let the barrel cool for a couple mins between shots. a box of shells is 27 bux canadian (bout the same as for my 7mm rem mag). i want to eventually get into reloading (hope santas listening) and use 120 and 130gr barnes x bullets in my 260. i've been hunting hard for 5 days since season started but i havn't had a good shot at a nice buck yet. when i bag a buck i'll let you know how the 140gr corlokts or the gamekings (whatever i have in my pocket at the time) worked on a deer.

does your gun have to be a browning? take a good look at the 700 mountain rifle and play with one for a bit in a gun shop . it's a light compact gun with a stock that feels awesome and it shoots good to boot.

cheers
