I thought i'd post a couple pics of the 385 grain great plains bullet i pulled out of my mule deer doe this season. I was using 90 grains pyrodex RS in my winchester. The shot was maybe 90 yards and got her dead through the shoulder and i found this on the inside of the other shoulder. It put her down but after seeing my brother shoot a doe with his cva hawken, 90gn's pyro rs and a 295gn powerbelt, his put the deer down in a matter of a second while i had to finish mine off with a shot from my side arm. No reason to let an animal suffer. I'll probably give these another try next year and see how things work out again, after that, i'll be switching back to powerbelts.
