In regard to the shot, thanks that helps. I am new to the sport, but I can cluster within a 12" circle at 40 yards, and I know I should be able to cluster closer than that, but in all reality that is the kill zone of most game.


Same as you Hia - I dont plan on taking any bucks with my bow that I wouldnt with my rifle - in my books its dead its dead and I would rather end up without a bow kill this year than a young buck that would be a wall hanger in 3 years. I passed up a 160-170 class mule last week with the shotgun at about 30 yards, so I figure ill beable to atleast get a shot at him with my bow - a 160 mulie woul dbe a nice first bow kill!
