Default Peep eliminator, anybody try this sight?

I use a Copper John w/ three pins and a peep set in the string. Pins are set at 20, 30 and 40 yards. Has served me well for three years.
Today, a buddy at work was telling me about a sight he uses that replaces the peep sight. Looks like a rear, leaf sight off a rifle mounted on a metal rod and sticks to the rear. You still use the front sight with the normal pins in it, itjust replaces the peep in your string. So, when you draw and look forward you see the sight, put the correct pin in the notch and there you go. The ad says it takes less ambient light for it to work and my friend at work says it is true.
I looked at the websight, but it looks kinda gimmiky to me.

Anyone try this thing? Does it work as advertised?
Thanks in advance.
Hank
