There are deer hunters and then there are deer killers.

Deer hunters care about the deer herd more than about killing deer. Deer hunters mature as they gain experience and grow past the point where they have to KILL every dink buck that they can to pacify their fragile egos. Deer hunters realize that the herd needs to be controlled and the way to do this is by shooting does rather than the easiest deer in the woods, a dink buck. Every deer hunter went through a phase early in his career when killing deer was important and in most cases a few dinks fell. Some people mature past this phase and others remain kill-mongers.Deer Hunters have ethics that go beyond what the law allows. Deer Kill-mongers use the law as an excuse for their actions. There are deer hunters and then there are deer killers. Some deer killers will grow out of it and some will not. That is simply a shame. We are all at various stages as hunters and all have different goals. Sadly for some their goal never changes - to simply kill something everytime they head to the woods. They think they are real hunters but havent a clue how far from it they really are. Hmmmm
