Default RE: ANNUAL LET 'EM GO AND LET 'EM GROW

ORIGINAL: livbucks

I think it should be: "Let 'em go and let 'm grow, so many more hunters have a shot at gettingthat mature "once in a lifetime" trophy

Then it wouldn't be a "once in a lifetime" trophy. The rarity of a big deer is what makes them special. If they were common then all that would be lost. People in Kansas don't even look twice at a 120 class buck........but some areas that is a MONSTER. Why would you want to ruin that?

so their grandchildren can marvel at the mount years later, and think to themselves "how neat it must have been in the old days, when there was a forest, and deer in it, and it was legal to own a weapon and use it to hunt such a majestic animal."
If all you have to pass on to your grandchildren are some old dusty deer heads then your life was a complete failure and the only thing they will marvel at is how you wasted your life.

I plan to pass my grand kids good ethics, morals, the value of education and LOTS of money. I doubt they will be upset that all that only comes with 1 head mount

Somehow, the skull cap from that spike, justwon't invoke the same response now, will it?
My recipe book will be of more value then any set of antlers........Besides, they will have plenty of antlers of their own.
