RE: 270 WSM
Yep....stick with a standard cartridge is good advice, but if you have a real hankering for the .270 WSM, go for it. I shot a .270 for years. Bought a .270 WSM two years ago. I really like it, but the ammo isn't cheap. You can usually find ammo for a .270 or 30-06 on sale and factory loads for those rifles these days is excellent. I like the .270 WSM a lot, but my son has pretty much layed claim to it. Montana is open country, and it will "reach out and touch them". I bought a Tikka and am very pleased with the accuracy out of the box, how it handles, etc.
