I'm in the process of making a P41 a homebrew. I've had the camera for a couple years. I think I paid around 150 for it. The rest of the materials are going to cost around 70. So in total it will be just over 200 for a sweet camera. I also have a p32 that is in a homebrew it cost about the same.

If you feel that you want a commercial cam I would look towards a moultrie 200. The trigger is slow but if you put it over a feeding area where deer will stick around you will have good success. The quality is great. If you use the moultrie rechargeable batteries you will get around 4 weeks per charge and will save a lot of money in the long run against store bought batts.
