Nikon Rangefinder

Sorry guys but I honestly can't answer youyr question on the 800 model, can tell you about the Swavorski rangefinder. Just yesterday atop a mountain having luch while elk hunting we ran into 3 others while having lunch and the other guy had a 8oo Lieca. So we did a comparison and the lieca range out to 1106 yards and the swavorski did 1963 yards. Totally blew the guy away and the optics which were 8x30 on the Swavorski were as clear as the guys bino's he was lugging around.I have the Nikon 400 and could see the distances these guys were useing but in no way could I make oout the deer and elk on the ridge tops as distinctivly as these other rangefinders. You get what you pay for and I tend to say you only need what you tend for the use of it also. I honestly only hunt the elk for week a year so I bought the 400 model and spent $100 istead of the $800 pice tag for the Swavorski's.If you got the cash go for it[8D]
