FYI, Florida (especially North Florida) does have a noticable change of season from summer to fall. Additionally, there are indeed large-leaf oak species that drop their leaves just like they do up north. Granted most of the oaks throughout the state are small-leaf (like live oaks) but species in the red oak group are very prevalent in the northern part of the state. It looks just like S. Georgia or Alabama.
