If I'm seeing deer I hunt the hell out of the stand. Up here if land is not posted you can hunt it. And that means that most private land is up for grabs and its very rare you have a place all to your self. So before some one moves in on me I hunt till the deer don't come by me. Then I'll leave the stand there and hunt from another one. I won't go back for a couple weeks which is usually enough time to cool the area off. (Mostly hunting small wood lots) I have one stand in CT. and thats it I shoot multiple deer there every year. My trick is to find a good funnel deer will leave if pressured but if its a good spot they will be back. Oh by the way I'm a meat hunter too. A nice rack is great but thats just a plus.
