i used it this weekend down in southern md very there is a alot buds and wasnt really impressed. first of all it relly didnt keep the bugs off of you.when on the ground were there was the most buds i still had to were gloves and a hooded coat and bug spray on my hands and face. then had a couple of deer come in front of me and they seemed uneasy and left pretty quik!!! then i looked down and the thermo cell was blowing right to those deer!! they mite have smelled me as well but didnt really impress me !!!!!!!
Maybe it was the bug spray that spooked them and not the thermacell? I had 2 deer at 25 yards on Saturday and a bunch more coming my way and my thermacell was on... I won't get into why I didn't bring home the venison, but I can assure you it was my mistakes and not the thermacell
And the thing just plain works, no bugs after I turned it on. Friday my buddy said he got bitten up, but I had my thermacell on and didn't get bothered in the least.
