I've shot over 80 deer with a bow. I'm going to say only a handful haven't been pass throughs. That might be an exaggeration as I can really only think of 2 that weren't and they hit shoulder and spine. Done it with recurves, compounds, cut to the tip, chisel point...no mechanicals.
