Had about 3 hours before the rain hit last weekend. So I took out the Disc Elite 45cal and made some smoke.

Shot off a rickety bench/table at 68yards and turned in 1/2 inch groups with 120grains of Pinnacle 3Fg pushing a PR Bullet QT-195 grainers. Was using the PowerStem breech plug!

Then shot some 36cal round ball(70grains) in a PR 357cal sabot with 150grains of Pinnacle behinde it! Hooooweee! Same groups just 6 inches higher!

Then we got to shoot a cap and ball pistol! 25grains of APP 3Fg and a .454cal round ball. What a hoot! Gotta get me one of these

Finally got to shoot my buddie'sHawkins 50 cal with RoundBall and verying charges, 70-150grains of APP and Pinnacle. Very accurate! This one had to be hand lapped--100 strokes, to restore the rusty bore. And still got 1inch groups and betterat 50 yards with open sights!

It was just great to get out and make smoke!
