so what is the best place to put a ladder stand and whats the best place for a hang on stand
In a tree.
Seriously though, I like to use my ladders in thicker areas. You usualy don't need to be as high in areas with a lot of cover, nor are there good climbing trees in those areas for the most part. And my hang on's go in more open timber, where I need to be higher than 15 feet.
