The 825 magnum article is definitely supposed to be poking fun at something...it is definitely not serious. But his optimum big game range table is serious, and it says my 7mm rem mag is not adequate for moose past 10 yds. Yet, the rest of his articles and website have a general anti-magnum tone, and always speak favorably of the 308 and 30-06 based cartridges as adequate big game cartridges. Seems like there are some contradictions in his articles that are meant to be taken seriously.
