Pa's Silent Majority
I got to wondering about this crossbow issue in Pa , again the other day. It seems to me that the vocals of the anti group are mainly members of the UBP of Pa., with a smattering of non members in tow. that while shareing the UBP's stance on the crossbow issue do not support the UBP nor it's politics.
I ask this? Whom ever asked the UBP to speak for the MAJORITY of archers , or any hunters of the state. In the first place?
The UBP has a membership around 6000. Hardly the majority of hunters statewide. Or for that matter even the archers...is it? sounds to me as though they and their splinter groups are really the MINORITY of the archers and hunters.
Since when in a democratic society does the MINORITY set the adgenda for the majority. Unless of course we speak of personal freedoms, which is not the case here ( religion, sex, race, etc.)
I suggest that in this issue we let the sportsmen/women of the state decide. The majority of them have already given their support to the crossbow by NOT opposeing it!
