Moose aren't hard to kill at all. Last Saturday I shot a bull at 350 yards with my .300 Winny spitting out Federal's 180 grain Speer Hot-Core's (not the premiums). I hit that bull slightly high in the lungs, and didn't break either shoulder or do any spinal damage and he dropped like a ton of bricks. You can see the pics of that moose on this thread:

Moose are huge, but one well placed boiler room shot will anchor them well. No need to shoot a hand cannon, unless you want to see one do an ass-over-tea-kettle, or ruin a bunch of meat.

Where about's are you planning on hunting up here Crew Dawg?
