I think that any state with a good deer population has the potential to be a good "trophy" state. Nevada has a limited draw for mule deer, even for residents. The result is a limited number of hunters going after so many deer. Nevada does produce some great bucks, but then so does every other state in the nation. You just have to have the knowledge and patience to find the big one.
P.S.- Nevada is the best, because 87% of the state is public land, and the majority of the big bucks do come off public land, something that many other states have a hard time doing.
