I have to agree with everyone else ,a rifle is not the weapon of choice and especially not a .22 rimfire short to shoot turkeys. I believe some states do allow rifles but I would check with your state's game department before hunting just to be on the safe side . If I was going to use a rifle it would have to be very still and I would take a head shot but I wouldn't or won't so it really doesn't matter .Luck
