I was looking through the manuals this morning for a load for the 270WSM. It came to me again that we are swamped with caliber choices that are so close to each other that its a wonder how they all survive. Just the choices in 7MM and 30 caliber are mind boggeling. We all have our favorite calibers but what could we make do with?

Being a pretty avid hunter I would always have to have my 22 Rimfire and 12 Ga BPS. but favorites aside I think a 223 for varmits, a 280, for all the deer family and a 416 Rem Mag for the big bears and the possible trip accross the pond, would fill my needs pretty well. Add My 44 Mag Bisley Hunter and my Ruger 45 Auto and maybe a 22 pistol for practice, That should be plenty. I am sure my wife would agree.. Of course, this is only a pipe dream and it will never happen.
