Leaving next friday for elk ( rifle opens the 18th). While elk hunting, one never knows maybe adeer or see big blackie to shoot as a bonus. I plan to try with the bow next saturday for the bear, assuming the weather cooperates. I have an invite to do a moose hunt with a couple fellas in our elk crew, being a special drawI would be only their as a caller but could fill a second whitetail or my bear tag. WhileI would love to go I am thinking I may declinebeing drawn for mulie's (1 buck and 2 does) and ML season opens Oct 2nd (the same week they'll be hunting moose). Of course being married is also factoring into my plans. Thrown in between Oct and Decwill bewhitetails. I plan to be hunting the forest fringe more this year myself for whitetails, if the mulie's play alongthat is.
