RE: 760 Carbine in .308

Ideaman, I had the same thought about buying a new 7600 in .308 and having the barrel cut and re-crowned. That option will cost mea lot more than $300, soI'm going to hold off a bit andkeep looking awhile longer. With my luck I'llbuy the 7600, get it the way I want and a 760 carbine will show up.
I've been checking the web-sites, but just about all of the 760 carbines were in .30-06, with one .270 oddly.
