If it keeps you from throwing a bad shot due to sleeve contact it is worth it.

If you use the arm guard during the summer to keep arm slap at bay, then you should think about shortening your draw length a touch or working on your form, but during the winter with bulky/warm layers on, it is pretty cheap insurance.
