Scouting
I was out scouting this afternoon (after some nasty weather the past couple days) and thought I would look around some new spots next to where I'm going to hunt. I've noticed quite a few oak trees with acorns lately. While scouting I noticed that a lot of leaves and smaller branches blew off of trees when Ernesto was coming through (but most of the acorns are still up in the trees). Most of the leaves and small branches that fell had acorns on them. Every downed branch or leaf had acorns on it. The deer must havemoved through between Saturday and today to eat the acorns off the fallen branches on the ground that blew from the trees. I thought this was an interestingthing to notice with the bad weather. I'll make sure I sit in these areasaround times of bad weather and maybe I can harvest a good deer. Anyone else have similar experiences?
