I'm not sure if you read my earlier post entitled "coyote helps me take buck" or something like that, but I had got down from my stand and stalked the edge of a cornfield it was overlooking. I had heard something enter, but it never came toward me. As I was stalking, a coyote ran a large-bodied six-pointer virtually on top of me. I really wanted the coyote, but he saw me swing to draw on him, and he melted back into the corn. I ended up taking the buck from the ground after a stalk, but I would have preferred to have taken the coyote!
