Default RE: More Experimenting

I am great for having a one track mind, not paying attention to details, andcombined w/ ever failing memory, am not the source for real great info, lol. Both groups were a tad high if I recall, remember I was just going for comparative size, really not caring where they were at on the target, but I think this is the first time I grouped it since I had the new string put on, and since that was my first eperience w/ new strings/compounds, I don't know what's the norm for poi changes. I know the recurves don't change a lick as long as you keep the brace height near what it was.

I do know this however. I have about 2 doz LII's at 431 gr. I got some LII's from Greywolf on Excal forum that are the same except for bright orange vanes and wraps. They weigh right at 442 gr, but have 17.5% FOC vs 20% in the others. This minor difference is excatly 2" at 30 yds. [10 gr wraps to rear]
I've marked the speed dial on my V-Zones w/ small scribe marks and can go back and forth between the two w/ amazing [to me] regularity. 2" ain't that much off of sand bags at exactly 30, but could make a big difference coupled w/ offhanding a shot while stalking, and throw in a little misjudgement on range to boot. That's probably the only good thing about being an accuracy freak and wanting more than I would ever need for the boiler room on a deer, but I know any error is mine vs the equipment. I have a ground blind and use a converted crutch for a shooting stick in it since I gotta haul half the farm out anyhow, lol. I would bet $ I could take a rabbit at 50 yds w/ either of the two recurves, and just haven't shot the Pdox at the longer ranges to see about it. I'm not meaning to sound cocky here either guys/gals, the V-zone eliminates hold over judgement and I range every shot, and as we pretty well know, all the bows we got are about the same for accuracy. Sorry for the long post, Dan ps No don't think the stabilizer affects fps Hotburn, maybe 2-3 but just guessing, as both groups were the same depth in target.
