I remember reading a while back about using plastic washers on the bolts where hanging stands are put together, they say by isolating all metal parts by using the plastic washers, it will eliminate any creaks or slight noises that could give you away to a close buck.

Does anyone do this or does anyone have any opinions on this? I don't have a noise problem at all in my stands or anything, I just thought that the washers are dirt cheap insurance against stand noises if it works.

Im thinking while Im off this weekend I may do this modification to all my hanging stands.

Are there any other modifications you would consider?
