I don't see anything I'd want to shoot an elk with Let me load up some 160 partitions/accubonds(note both the weight and the typeof the bullet which makes them suited for the toughelk)in a 280 then we'll talkI'd say they're equal in the deer department, but a 270 for elk=there are betterchoices IMO.
