Default RE: Going Back to Pyrodex Pellets

I've had mixed luck shooting Pyrodex Pellets. The Black Diamond XR really likes them. The Knight Disc seems to like loose better only because it shoots better with stronger loads. I have yet to get some APP but I am going to get a pound of it next time to the city.

I do have some Black Mag 3 that I will be shooting this week if all goes well. I really want to test some of the rifles using it.

Today was one of those real bad days on the range. Other then one bright point with a Lyman Flintlock .54 caliber and some Powerbelts 405 grain Aero Tips and 80 grains of Goex 2f. The Trade Rifle really shot the powerbelts excellent, but I was trying to get that Permetx Hand lube to shoot roundball in that rifle and could not get a group. But then I switched to moosemilk and still could not get a group. So it could have been the moon, stars, tide, what ever.. but I suspect it was just me having one of them days. [&o]
