Thanks guys. I used actual limbs and painted them with black paint and then pressed them into the pants , then used a small brush to stipple spots here and there that didn't take. Then I used a smaller brush to stipple the small branches. If you just use regular brush strokes , it looks flat but if you stipply the brush it loks more natural.
