I don't understand why people don't do something as simple as using a PAST shoulder pad when shooting from the bench. Why get beat up when you don't have to? You'll shoot much better when you're not worried about your shoulder getting pounded on each shot. I always wear mine when shooting from the bench, even if I'm just shooting the .243.
