Enough to let you know you're shooting a magnum round . I've shot 300 winchester mags that weren't bad at all and I've shot a few rifles chambered for 30-06 that would definately wake you up when you pulled the trigger. A lot depends on the weight of the rifle, the stock design and the quality of your recoil pad. I don't believe you'll find it uncomfortable, depending on how recoil sensitiveyou are, but you'll definately notice a difference.
