I shot a 141 1/8" gross ten-pointer today. Facing almost straight away (he was at a little angle) and three yards from the base of the tree. Arrow took out the right lung, center-punched the heart, and blew through him like a paper bag. Blood trail was about 60 yards of carnage.

I've taken a few other deer with shots at similar angles, and have yet to keep an arrow in one of them.

53# recurve, Beman shaft, Wensel Woodsman head (3 blade cut-on-impact). I think my Ke's somewhere in the 38-range.

Again, congrats on that deer. He's an absolute BRUTE.
