Default RE: Genesis blackpowder

You can go to Remingtons web site and see a video for the genesis rifle.

You would be suprised at how many so caled American made companies put their names on foreign made products. Browning A-bolts are made in japan if memory serves me right. Springfield Armory XD pistols are made in Croatia and other Springfield 1911s in Brazil. Austin & Halleck rifles are made in Spain. What makes the A&H rifle materials any better than a Genesis? We dont know their metal composition or how soft or brittle it is.We havent heard alot of test on them yet. I did read an article on one and the author found it a very accurate and user friendly rifle.People praise the A&H rifles but they are still made in spain. If you have ever seen a Traditions Evolution Premier with stainless fluted barrel(not nickle)and brown laminated stock you would almost see a twin to the A&H. I had an A&H whose qualityranked poorwhen I bought one from bass pro years ago. Thescrew on the bottom of the bolt headwas stripped out and it was missing the ramrod retainer. Not to mention that the sling studretaining nut was turng in the stock because the hole was too big and the logo for Austin & Halleck was almost unreadable on the left side of thereceiver unlike another i had saw which was much deeper and more refined than mine. This doesnt in any way represent all A&H rifles. I believe they are alot better know and well proven.I am just telling about my experience. There are good rifles made in spain and I own some. If they are of high quality and are accurate and get the job done for less money then Ill use them.
