I don't use and BP grease or lube in the barrel. I've been shooting powerbelts, and saboted bullets,out of it since I purchased it. Before I go to the range or out hunting, I clean the oil out of the barrel and make sure it's clean and dry. I genereally snap a primer or two before loading the first shot.
For the breach plug threads, I use Slick 50 One grease.
